Although we greatly appreciate the help you have given us for the past few days, I have noticed too many incorrect closures and errors from you, which I discuss below. Your access to ACC has been suspended, and you have likewise been unsubscribed from the mailing list. You may contest this suspension no sooner than two weeks from today (25 April 2013), and to contest please send an email to accounts-enwiki-l@lists.wikimedia.org.
Following are some of the mistakes I have noticed you make:
#97963, requested username "Bitches1234": This was a pretty clear violation of UPOL, but you created the request anyway with the comment "AGF UPOL." There is no AGF with the username policy, because this requested username clearly failed it. If a username is unacceptable, it's unacceptable no matter what.
#97532, requested username "Minimini007": Even though you got clearance from a checkuser to create the request, you still custom closed the request as not created and practically asked outright in your email if the requester was sockpuppeting. You should have just created the request after getting cleared by CUs. The email itself was unnecessary, and unnecessarily accusatory.
#97367, requested username "Mk2061": You again received CheckUser clearance to create the request, but with a note that since the request sounds like a blocked user so you should email them. The email you wrote, though, was pretty much asking them if they were socking. What you should have written was something like <https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/private/accounts-enwiki-l/2013-April/013919.html> (not necessarily as long) or like <https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/private/accounts-enwiki-l/2013-April/013921.html>. This is not a serious error in itself, but it's worth noting.
#97972, requested username "Kenny_poplin35": The ACC guide specifically says: "IP or IP ranges belonging to schools can be ignored only if it is for vandalism, an {{anonblock}}, or {{schoolblock}} and the block is older than 2 weeks as it's likely they are collateral damage or CU is unable to tell and AGF would apply. Otherwise defer to checkusers.". The last non-constructive edit from the IP was made at the time of the block. Per the guide, you should have just AGF'd and created the account instead of sending them a completely unnecessary email.
#96914, requested username "Chris_Cain": You told the requester that the username was taken when it is in fact not. Indeed, the similar username it conflicts has zero edits local and global and was older than six months, and you could have created the request!
...And many more. We did a review of your closed requests on IRC, and we found many errors and incorrectly closed requests than I could list here. |
